1 Scope
The purpose of this test method is to determine the dry and wet abrasion resistance of a material. This method is mainly used for weaving, coated weaving and leather, but it can also be used for any soft sheet material
2 Principle
Use several standard woven abrasives, half of the abrasive pieces are wet, half are dry, and under a constant contact pressure, rub several round test pieces. The relative movement between the abrasive and the test piece is a complex circular pattern (a Lissajous diagram), which is abraded in all directions. After the specified number of abrasions, stop the test, The damage degree of the test piece can be determined by subjective judgment. The severity of the test can be changed by changing the number of friction cycles and the contact pressure between the test piece and the abrasive

4 equipment
4.1marticle friction tester, please refer to the cover drawing, and each test bench is equipped with the following items:
4.1.1 the circular sample carrier has a clamping ring for each carrier to clamp the edge of the sample, and a raised, flat circular part is left exposed outside. The area to be exposed for the sample carrier is shown in Table 1
4.1.2 first level abrasive table:
■ the size of this set shall be large enough to accommodate a square center test area of 188mm. A round table with diameter greater than 125 mm is suitable
■ a clamp ring holds the appropriate position of abrasive plate and felt
4.1.3 a tool used to fix the exposed flat part of the sample carrier, which contacts the abrasive table, and the sample carrier can rotate freely
4.1.4 a tool used to produce relative motion between the sample carrier and the abrasive table, and the relative motion of the tool produces a Lissajous figure with an area of 60 ± 1 mm × sixty ± 1 mm, refer to figure 1, so:
■ the parallelism of the moving plane of the abrasive table and the sample carrier is maintained throughout the test ± Within 0.05 mm
■ at all points on the circumference of the specimen carrier, the parallelism between the sample carrier and the abrasive table should be greater than 0.05 mm
■ a friction cycle consisting of a complete Lissajous graphic, every 20 ± Complete a cycle in 2 seconds
4.1.5 I loading tool, for example: weight of sample carrier device, which can produce the required standard pressure on the sample, please refer to table 1 and figure 2
4.1.6 counting method for the number of cycles of one friction. For SATRA stm105, after every one turn of the main pin is completed, the counter is added 1 and Lissajous graph is completed every 16 revolutions
